India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

Personalization being taken to a level where the definition of bespoke and individual is inadequate  was Indian Prime Minister  Narendra Modi ‘s pinstripe monogrammed suit . The monogrammed suit was worn by the Indian Prime  Minister  in 2015 during   US President’s  Barack  Obama second state visit  of the country . The, pinstriped, ‘bandhgala’ suit made headlines because of a very specific sartorial feature – its stripes were made of repetitions of a single motif the Prime Minister’s name, Narendra Damodardas Modi. It was stitched by Jade Blue, an Ahmedabad-based garments chain. The suit has entered the Guiness book  of world records for the most expensive auctioned suit . It was made at the base price of 10 lakhs rupees auctioned for 4.31 Crore.

Laljibhai Tulsibai Patel , a diamond baron and a private airline owner, Patel took home the suit at an auction whose proceeds went to the Namaami Gange Trust fund, an initiative of the Modi cabinet to clean River Ganga. The suit is currently on display in a glass cabin in the reception of Patel’s company – the Dharmananda Diamond Company.

Personalization is nothing but something individualized and idiomatic and not prevalent and generic . Personalized seems like magic if implemented well
